While sky-high volume was big on the runway this season, it’s not a trend we usually see translate to Hollywood or better yet, to real life…that is, until now. British pop star turned X Factor judge Cheryl Cole rocked some major poof at the American X Factor auditions just this week. She donned a 70s style look, with bright colors and bell bottoms, and she didn’t stop there. Cheryl’s locks were curled and combed straight back for a full, voluminous look that beauty bloggers can’t seem to decide on. Hate it or love it, there’s no denying that Cheryl can pull off almost any look.
The big hair didn’t stop there. Just hours later at the Robin Hood Foundation annual benefit in NYC, fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker a.k.a. Miss Carrie Bradshaw herself displayed a similar look. SJP arrived at the event in a floor-length purple Halston gown and, again, towering hair! To channel Cheryl and SJP’s sky-high looks without looking too costume-y, try Jessica Simpson’s Hairdo “Bump Up the Volume” clip-in which allows you to adjust the height of your volume. And, if you “like” us on Facebook today, you can enjoy 30% off of the Bump Up the Volume with our promotional code.
Could this be a new trend? We’ll have to wait and see, beauty reporters are not so sure about getting on the big bouffant train just yet. In the meantime, keep your hairspray and hot rollers at hand just in case!
