The year’s biggest night of glamour is the perfect opportunity to see your favorite stars hit the red carpet with “of-the-moment” styles in hair, makeup and apparel. While there were countless trendsetters, here are a few standout styles:
The Hostess with the Most(ess)
Anne Hathaway, who in our opinion looked stunning as Oscar host, graced the red carpet in an elegant chignon. The style, complete with face-framing highlights, complemented her vintage, red taffeta Valentino number in the most chic, fabulous way. While Ms. Hathaway stunned in seven other completely unique looks over the course of the evening, this scarlet vision of classic “Old Hollywood” was a true masterpiece.
Known for her bold beauty – Scarlett Johansson decided to go with short, tousled bed-head bob for this year’s Academy Awards. Johansson, who took a cue from the in-vogue “day-in look,” had her hair styled in a way that made her appear as if she just arrived from a day at the beach, with her short locks shaken up in the breeze. The loose choppy bob was flawlessly paired with copper orange eyeshadow to create this vibrant look!
Gwyneth’s light blonde root-free hair looked particularly polished, styled with this trendy middle part and simple straightened locks. Gwyn’s blonde “do” looked fantastic against the backdrop of her utterly ravishing Calvin Klein Collection dress and Brian Atwood’s gold leather “Martina” pumps. To provide the finishing touch, Gwyneth rocked muted brown eye makeup, highlighted cheeks and a simple slick of gloss on her lips.
